My name is Wang Xiaopeng. I am one of the team members who helped make the replaceable head dish brush. I am 35 years old and this is my sixth year working with the company. This product is developed with the concepts of environmental protection, economics, nature, and fashion. I’m an artisan, and I like to express my inner feelings through the production and processing of bamboo. This work makes me happy. I live in Ningbo with my lovely family. This work allows me to provide for my family, which makes me grateful. I hope that you will like it, and we will continue to improve the quality of our product. Thank you for your continued support and trust.Workplace TransparencyThis brush was made at a factory in the Zhejiang Province. The minimum wage of this province is CNY 2100/month, which is around £246, but the artisans are paid above minimum wage at CNY 2700/month. The factory follows the listed health and safety procedures: The manufacturers purchase accident insurance to provide insurance guarantees for each employee. The company has rules and regulations in place that require each employee to wear dust masks to ensure optimum health when working in dusty conditions. The workshop director intermittently patrols to remind artisans of safety.Product care & end of lifeAlways remove food particles that lodge in bristles by holding the brush under running water until all particles are gone, allow to dryWhen a dish brush head has come to the end of its life, you can simply put it in the compost, garden waste or food waste bins that councils collectPlease note that a quantity of 1 represents x1 dish brush head.

This is a review for the modular dish brush, not the head alone. It is impossible to submit a review for the first item in a group of two. I believe that this washing up brush is probably the best available, so why am I only giving it three stars out of a possible five? The fairly large circular head is a very tight fit in mugs, cups, and cafetières making it very difficult to clean them. The handle tends to scrape along the rim of these vessels and I'm always worried that they will get broken. Most (unfortunately plastic) brushes have a roughly oval shaped head at a steeper angle to the handle. This makes the shape perfect for cleaning mugs etc but also practical for larger items such as casserole dishes and saucepans. The next generation of brush would be a world beater if it could include a wooden shaped head that slots onto a lightweight metal handle. On the plus side, it is fantastic to have a metal head that will not crack after too much water exposure. The bristles on the brush head seem to be sturdy and have not gone out of shape after three weeks of use.

The brush head fits the handle well, and after a few days use the bristles appear to be keeping their shape well, far better than other brands that I have used. I have only given four stars because of the circular shape (I have also made the same comments in my review of the modular head and handle unit). The head fits too tightly into things like mugs and cafetières, and the angle is not perfect for cleaning inside them. Virtually all plastic washing up brushes on the market today have a head with an elongated oval front and squared off back at a less steep angle than this one. If the Zero Waste Club can recreate that shape with a wooden head to clip on to a lightweight wooden handle then they would have a best seller.
