“My son just received this scooter for his 4th birthday. He loves it, finds it easy and comfortable to ride and it feels very sturdy. It looks fab and the light up wheels are an added bonus. At this point the break is quite stiff and difficult to use, however, I’m guessing that as he uses it more, the break will loosen up. Overall, we are very happy with this scooter!”

As for your concern, you are correct! it will eventually loosen up. We redesigned the brake and increased the stiffness by adding a metal insert. The previous brake didn't include the metal insert and many customers were unhappy since the brake was snapping off or wearing through very quickly.
Unfortunately, it's a balancing act, we increased the durability of the scooter but at the same time increased the stiffness. But as mentioned, the brake should become looser over time.

“Hi I love the look of these scooters and also steering , I have ordered quite a few times and repeatedly however the front handle gets loose eventually doesn’t hold up that been said my kids play daily and they do last about a year which I feel is fair”
