Terrible company to deal with. I wanted to change my car so I called them and was told they could not insure my new car as it was a grey import (A standard Mazda, so I'm not sure what the problem would have been) but the lady in the call centre said they would not charge a cancelation fee as they could not insure my car. I was pleased that it appeared they had some good points. Sadly that did not last long. Once I got my new car and cancelled the insurance with 1st Central I was told I would have to pay £50, I interrupted the script reader to say the other person had said I would not have to pay a cancelation fee as they could not insure my new car. Are you ready for the punch line? This is not a cancelation fee, it's an arrangement fee! I made a formal complaint and received a call from another script reader, they made "an offer" to which I politely said I was not on the phone to negotiate, I wanted my £50 back - He put the phone down on me! How professional is that! Then I noticed somebody had complained on Facebook about them and 1st Central published the customers mobile phone number in the public forum, I sent the guy a text to let him know and as you can imagine the chap was not best pleased to have personal information displayed for all to see. It took several hours to remove the post. I would avoid this company at all costs!
