When I was hunting for a new couch I was looking for something that would be more pet proof. I did my research and obviously by looking for something more scratch resistant you're looking at more money... Something I was willing to pay if it meant the couch would last me years. We've had the couch now a little over a year and I need to cover the couch up with blankets because threads are starting to pull all over the couch. My cat hardly goes near the couch so for this to be happening from the odd time he scratches at it is disappointing. Needless to say if you're buying the couch thinking it's pet proof, it's not. Don't waste your money.
