Customer Service One of my son's recently changed his car and at the same time I just happened to see a good deal on my RAC account for new members. They were offering £50, £25.00 each in M&S vouchers if you introduce a friend or family member to the RAC. I took up the offer and completed my part of the application. It was then taken over by RAC Customer Service to finalise with my son. A couple of weeks later my son told me that the offer had expired even though they, the RAC had set him up with a Direct Debit of £9.00 a month, over a hundred pounds annually. I contacted the RAC as I was appalled by there refusal to fulfil there Refer-a Friend offer and then go ahead and set him up with membership. It took the RAC 40 working days to reply to my email and tell me that my son's membership did not meet the requirements for the Refer-a-Friend offer, but they were quite happy to set him up with a Direct Debit. After several years with the RAC I will not be renewing my membership with them any more nor will my son, there are several motoring organisations out there who can offer a service in full without having to lie to there customers. "YOU ARE A DISGRACE"
