I'm absolutely disgusted.I reported my car at 3.30pm today.couldnt speak to a human,had to use the link.spoke briefly to some one who said 5.40pm is estimated.ir kept changing.after waiting in a car park till 7pm I had enough.the final estimated time was 8.30pm to 10.30pm!!!!!! How unsafe is that.So my problem lingers on to tomorrow.Disgraceful

Reported my car breakdown at 12pm with RAC, 2hours later they tell me that they have assigned a 3rd party recovery as they are unable to assist!! The 3rd party recovery tell me that are going to be another 3 hours!! RAC had put me on priority as I'm registered disabled and had my child in the car with me and I was 40 minutes away from home. I'm now left stranded in the middle of nowhere without food or drink but RAC don't care. Had to pay AA to come out who attended in 25 minutes and actually helped.

They are disgusting I was with them for 20 years but they sent a patrol guy recentlyout he had the hump and was very intimidating!! when I ask if he could leave he called them before I could get through to report what happened sneaky man they stoped all assistance and took he word that I had been rude and they immediately stopped my service nd said they would review it and come back to me, but never did it’s shocking to think that someone that works for them can actually intimidate you and get away with it

Rac shocking. Thank God for your subcontractor e and s. Really poor service no care. Children with us (daughter is autistic). Left us and said around 10pm for collection. If it wasn't for the guy from e and s using his initiative we wouldn't be heading home. Rac take note of some of these reviews please. Will be escalating.

I've had coverage with RAC for the past three years and have never had to use it for roadside recovery until now. Since they have given me a 10-hour ETA for the recovery, I have plenty of time to leave this review. It has been an absolutely WASTE OF MONEY. I was given the excuse of the Easter holiday on April 11th, but it’s clear they just make things up... they definitely quick to take the money but not quick to respond to assist.

Exceptional Service from Steve Butcher I am happy to share my experience with Steve Butcher, who went above and beyond yesterday to support us and get us back on the road. Steve was incredibly professional and thoughtful, taking the time to walk me through the entire process. Thanks to his dedication and expertise, we were back on the road and couldn't be happier! Subcontracting is name of game. Customer service appalling. Fobbed off for nearly 4 hours and had to chase up on several occasions to find that lead time given gad changed. Staff attitude on phone dreadful although working for this company maybe understandable.

Despite top of the range cover - I have been waiting roadside fir 4 hours and still no updates or courtesy call. I wish I can cancel my cover.

Renault assist cover. Rang 12.30 pm. Several changes of times coming to you. 17.10 we are busy and can’t come until tomorrow! Just because I got it home I walk with a stick and needed my car. Just because your are at home, the car is still broken and you buy it to use it. Thank heavens I have retired or I would have missed work. But I do rely on it for my mobility (that is why we buy them). Shocking service.

Avoid RAC like the Plague, their cover isn't worth the paper it's written on. After a breakdown with their Advanced cover we were left waiting with an estimated time of arrival of 9 hours. When we did receive a call from the repair vehicle we were informed that despite having their Advanced cover we would be charged £180 for a tow only 10 miles away. After putting in a complaint we received a response back telling us to refer to their terms and conditions.

If I could give zero i would. Awful service following a breakdown as a women with my children were left waiting for 6 and half hours before a local recovery truck came to collect the car. Thankfully a police lady came and drove us to our caravan so we werent left roadside. As this happened on a Sat, I was left stranded on holiday and to top it all they automatically took my car to a garage near my home without telling me or offering me a lift meaning I was stuck an hour away. I had to spend extra money to stay another night. No onwards travel offered, no hire car or curtesy car available. Had to get a taxi home (thankfully paid for by lease firm). Customer service from moment calling for recovery was shocking, unhelpful. Communication poor at best. I would never use RAC.

My membership auto renewed, jumping from £150 to £220. I only noticed when they took the money from my account which they took after the 14 day cooling down period and then wanted to charge a cancellation fee. Left my on hold repeatidly while i tried to cancel my memebership, presumably hoping id give up. Even then I had to repeatedly say that I wanted to cancel before they would consider it A bunch of crooks and not the respect institution of old

They gave me a quote for my new car but said I had to wait till I got to the garage to pick up the car before they could give me a definite price for insuring the car this quote turned out to be £30 more than the original I felt I was being pressured to pay a higher price or leave my car at the garage

As a UK company, I am shocked to see that on the RAC maps you refer to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. At least on the US sites they referred to as the Gulf of Mexico appalling behaviour.

this story is back in 2021 but it's still worth sharing. Injector pump broke, we waited for an hour stuck on the M25 before we were towed to the Cobbam services, waited 7 hours for a recovery truck, none came, had to get a taxi, we had young people on board, they did not care that my epipens were on board, recieved the car at 5am the next day. horrible service. Switched to green flag
