Frustrated OAP follow up.
After letting RAC that I was going to contact The Ombudsman as was my legal rights, low and behold I get a reply from them saying sorry but after looking into my case they discovered I was in fact covered and I should not have been charged again. 5 weeks down the line. It wasn’t rocket science for them and Ssangyong to talk with each other to have sorted this out long before now, and therefore being less stressful for me. But it doesn’t finish there, my payment to them was taken instantly from my bank account but it’s going to take them up to 2 weeks to press the button that will return it to me. An utter disgrace and shame on RAC. My daughter is on social media and now all her many contacts and work colleagues have been told of my woes and the support that I have from them has been very touching. SHAME ON YOU RAC. A simple small sorry does not hold anything for all the stress that I have endured
