We had a tyre blow-out on our motorhome on a "smart" section of the M1 with no hard shoulder, in a cutting which meant we could scarcely get off the road. Patrol 4540 (Duncan) attended in excellent time, and was competent, courteous and a credit to himself and the RAC. He followed us off the motorway to a layby he knew, where he torqued the wheel bolts and arranged for 2 new tyres to be supplied and fitted the following morning in Worcester. Patrol 4122 (Lee Bailey) was waiting for us at the appointed time and place, and did all that we could ask for, fitting the 2 new tyres and replacing the spare. Again, nothing was too much trouble, in spite of drizzling rain. If these two gentlemen are representative of the RAC, the Club has our complete support.
