We are oaps and we have always had excellent service from the RAC. spanning 50 years but luckily for us no more than 10 times but worth every penny because that's one of the things with the RAC you don't have to worry about. In the last month we've called them twice. Once for a flat battery. The phone was answered promptly and friendly by the call centre. The Engineer turned up within 20 mins. Tried to get the car to turn over and as the RAC battery was still under guarantee replaced it with a new one. He was very PROFESSIONAL and customer friendly. The second time the car was making a horrible grating noise and I had to limp home. Again the call centre responded immediately. The PROFESSIONAL customer friendly engineer turned up within 40 minutes. Replaced some pins near the front axle. Job done. So to sum up they might be old fashioned but it's been sevice with a smile.
