I had ordered furniture from Wayfair. It was slightly more expensive than other retailers, but would be delivered to a room of my choice, up a maximum of one flight of stairs, by 2 people. XDP called to arrange the delivery date, which was great as I could choose a day that was easier for me to stay at home. It was also slightly earlier than the estimated delivery date I’d received when ordering.
I was told I’d receive a txt with a 2 hour delivery slot, which I didn’t. However, I managed to find this by checking the original email and using the tracking option in the email (on the delivery day).
The delivery came on time, but initially the man who was delivering refused to take the delivery up to the bedroom. It wasn’t his fault - it clearly stated on the delivery box it was a 2 man job and it was extremely heavy. Being 8 months pregnant, I couldn’t help. He did take it upstairs very slowly and carefully, but I felt very uneasy that he would injure himself/the items!
XDP should ensure that such heavy items are delivered by the number of people it says on the box!
