Normally I don't enjoy writing reviews, especially if they are negative. But I'm making an exception for Adexa. Bought a panini maker from them and it developed a fault within 30 days. Assuming it would be sorted out without problems contacted them. Was then told that actually Adexa has its own version of warranty. They only cover the part. You have to arrange an engineer to check the machine and write a report, then order the part, then come back and fit it. That would cost us £200 plus VAT, nearly the price of the machine. Now, it does indeed state this in their warranty and aftersales section but I assumed (foolishly) that all new items sold had to carry a 1 year manufacturers warranty. In fact, I thought that was a legal requirement. So yes, I should have read the blurb but I thought maybe a gesture of goodwill? Maybe some grace? Absolutely not. Simply a "you agreed to our terms and conditions". Almost robot like. Not even any help in identifying the part as I asked for a parts list so I could order it...and even pay for it if needs be! We had purchased 2 other items as well in the past but because of their "warranty" will not be buying of them again. Very disappointed in their customer service and their rigid letter of the law approach
