I purchased travel insurance to safeguard in the event I had to cancel or change my trip. I did cancel my hotel stay and filed a claim and was rejected because they don't reimburse for cancelled trips!!! What is the point of travel insurance if not to cover yourself in the event you have to cancel!!! Such a scam.
