Getting the product in place without assistance is difficult due to the almost constant light breezes here on Cape Cod. The material is light-weight and "sails" easily. No instructions come with the product to indicate whether it may trimmed to fit around the brackets that support the awning mechanical assembly to ensure that the open side is directly under the fabric roller for the full extent of the awning. The tie downs at each end are about 18 inches from the end pocket. Not sure whether the pockets will stay in place when we experience gusty winds.
