Aleko's motorized exterior awning comes with an electric motor that is not designed for exterior use and includes warnings in the box that the motor should not be exposed to moisture or humidity. This is in direct contradiction to Aleko's marketing of this product for exterior use in the rain. I contact Aleko on 3/17 while installing this, as of 3/21 they have not responded. Also, the instructions are horrible - there are zero instructions for how to install the electric motor and some of the instructions for assembling the awning frame are incorrect. Stay away from this product and stay away from Aleko - they misrepresent their products and don't respond in a timely manner to problems.
