Ordered a tablet as a birthday gift and amazon screwed it up royally by sending a message on the 12th hour that the product cannot be delivered as it's outside of the serviceable area and is returned (they are messaging after returning the product even without letting me know). Mind you I have ordered multiple products from amazon to the same location. This time they took a decision unanimously to return the product even without consulting me. At least if they had contacted me I would have collected it myself. such was the significance of the gift. I didn't get the product on one side and now they are not even ready to compensate for the charges taken by my bank for this transaction. In short I am paying the money for something which I didn't get. How is that for a joke! The sorry part is no one in the customer care is willing to offer a solution and they are simply washing their hands by saying "sorry". I have been using amazon in multiple countries but have never faced such pathetic service. Surely it's the management style in India that is the root cause. Jeff Bezos, the founder says the company's focus is on the customer rather than on the competition. I beg to differ that in the case of Amazon India.
