I live in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (pincode: 380058). My experience with Amazon India has been terrible and frustrating in Ahmedabad.
Products are never delivered on time and sometimes aren't delivered at all. Getting what I've ordered on time is rare.
Delivery agents always mark the order as either 'delivered' or 'rejected at delivery' when no attempt at delivery has been made.
Whenever this is brought up with customer service, all executives make the same excuses - "it must have been marked by accident" - and the same empty promises - "it won't happen again" or "this issue has been escalated". And yet the same thing happens time and time again.
This has been happening for years but it has become frustratingly frequent in the past month or so. Out of around 20 orders, I've faced this problem with at least 15 of them.
Customer service continues to be unhelpful and delivery agents continue to be exasperating.
As a prime member, it feels like I'm being cheated. I'm not paying for a membership to get my item a week later than it was promised or never at all. And note this - I have never faced this problem in Mumbai or with Amazon Singapore or Amazon US - ONLY AHMEDABAD.
I am yet to find a way of communicating with Amazon that makes them ACTUALLY solve my problem and be responsive instead of giving me excuses and empty promises.
