By the amount of complaints logged in this section of Anglian Customer feed back it is obvious that the company has little or no respect for their customers. If they had, they would be taking giant steps to rectify the problems. I could write a book on what I have experienced throughout the 10 year warranty period. Therefore I will keep it as short as possible. When all the doors and windows were replaced it was noticed that four upstairs windows could not be fully opened as they were banging against the facial boards. This meant that the open and slide mechanism could not be activate on any of the windows. After many letters and phone calls the HQ in Norwich claimed that new windows had been manufactured, but after numerous calls to the Regional HQ and various Depots none were ever located. On six occasions they failed to attend appointments to resolve the problem with no apology, but when my wife suddenly died on a Sunday they were out and out rude to me for cancelling an appointment on the Monday as they wished to take a photo of work undertaken by a builder I employed to repair the damaged window surrounds caused by the fitters. Over the 10 year warranty period I have been visited by 4 "senior managers" who all claimed the problem was beyond their pay grade. I ended up driving over a 100 miles to speak face to face with the Regional Manager who refused to deal with me and all but pushed me out of the building and locking the door to stop me from re-entering the HQ. A week later when he was informed that I was a disabled War Veteran with over 40 years of HM military service he changed his tune and wrote to apologise and stated that the matter would be dealt with and that compensation would be paid to me. Needless to say he failed to keep that promise. I then put the matter in the hands of the solicitor who held my Will along with a large sum of money to cover the research of the past correspondence. A couple of months later I rang the solicitor for an update only to discover that he had left the country, closed his practice and disappeared. What has happened to the clients money and Wills? With the warranty due to expire in three months time I made a further 9 phone calls and 2 emails in the hope that the matter would be resolved, but to no avail. As for their Legal Dept they should be renamed the Illegal Dept as they either make up statements or change them to fit their needs. They claimed that they had a signed document from me stating that I had closed the matter. I have never seen or signed any document like that and requested a copy of this "fake document" to which they replied that only a solicitor could request a copy. (They were aware that my solicitor had done a runner but were unaware that I had copies of everything I had given to the solicitor.) The whole matter would require too much space on this web site, but even this thumb nail version would fail to reach a score of 1 and even a minus 10 would not high enough. Throughout the period of the warranty I have battled with two separate types of cancer in addition to the War injury problems. I have now been informed that I am terminally ill and not expected to see the New Year. I hope the doors that St Peter had installed were not from Anglian Gnome Wreckers or else I might not be able to gain entry.
