I traded my old Pro in on a new 13” IPad Air for a $160 credit. I shipped the old Pro to Apple according to their instructions in Apple’s carton which was provided. The machine was in pristine condition. I received a notice from Apple that they would not refund my $160 because of some allegation that there were white streaks on the screen. This was obviously inaccurate, because I used the machine up until the time I packed it for shipping, and the screen was in perfect condition.
In addition the customer service at Apple’s call center is sub standard. When the transaction went through for my new 13” Air, Apple neglected to deduct the gift card given to me by a friend in the amount of $100 which I used as part of the payment for the purchase. It took hours on the phone talking to different staff before a remedy was found.
This is not the company it once was. Buyer, beware.
