Bought a condenserless 10,000 btu room heater/cooler advertised as great for all round use only to find out when fitted it doesn’t work. Customer services state that it’s too cold outside for it to heat the room and suggest I buy another heater to heat the room up so their unit will start to work..,! What’s the point in buying their £600 unit..... it also pools water down the back of the unit onto my nice new wood flood. Appliance Direct are refusing a refund as past the 14 day limit and state in the small print it’s only rated to 7degrees to work... how can they advertise a unit as a ‘great all year round heater/cooler’ when it won’t operate in the 3 winter months........... customer services also state after that the unit shouldn’t be used as the primary room heat source, the description on their website certainly doesn’t mention that...... I’ve had to buy another unit that does the job as it’s a home office and needs to warm to work in.
Avoid these cowboys. Customer services are a joke.
