Appliances Direct was one of four companies linked from - effectively recommended by - Bosch on their website pertaining to the blender I'd chosen, which was at least £20 cheaper than any of the other vendors, including delivery.
However, delivery wasn't due for a couple of weeks - compared to Amazon Prime, the most expensive, but next day. And this was later delayed a further 2 weeks as AD were awaiting delivery - leading me to believe they keep little stock. However, AD kept me well informed by email, and offered me vouchers as compensation, albeit a link to a tracker was broken, plausibly because it wasn't in transit.
When it arrived, we realised that it was far too big and complex for our needs. Returning it, via our online account, was easy enough, and it could even be collected (for £20) ... except that although the web said my booking was confirmed, I received no email or SMS confirmation, email never mentioned that option, and indeed no collection happened!
However, Customer Service was excellent, in all regards - most exceptionally, my call was accepted within 10 minutes, with a count-down given; very friendly and helpful; arranged pickup and refund, which all happened with no hitch, again well informed by email, tracker and online account.
So although I was initially regretting my choice of vendor - given the delay due to lack of stock and two technical failures - for an expensive item when a big saving may be possible, with excellent Customer Service, if I'm prepared to wait for delivery, I'd certainly try them again.
