Horrible experience. Bought a condo that had an LG refrigerator. The previous owner of the condo had died. I found that she had purchased an LG Premium Care Plan from Asurion. I called and was told the plan was transferable. I gave the employee my name, phone number and email. A few month later the compressor went out on the appliance, which was only 3 years old. It was repaired 20 days later, but I found out the warranty plan had never been transferred to my name. I lost a lot of food and I wanted to be reimbursed but if the plan wasn't in my name I wouldn't be able to cash any check they sent. I called again, gave my info. Plan still wasn't changed. I called again and the employee I talked to on this call (phone number 855-549-0540) said I probably never provided any documentation. I was never asked for any documentation. The man I was talking to didn't know what documentation I needed because the representatives at 855-549-0540 don't handle transfers of plans from one owner to the other. Never heard that before. He transferred me to another department. I received an email request for the death certificate of the previous owner. I don't want to pay for a death certificate and go through the process of getting one. Instead I sent a copy of the real estate settlement form showing I bought the condo from the estate of the person named on the Premium Care Plan. The address on the condo is the address listed on the plan. Would they accept this? No, not a death certificate.
