Went to Haywain booked table for 14:30 on SUNDAY LUNCH on arrival told no more Sunday lunches available then given long list of food no longer available that day. As a rewards member I thought it was perfectly possible to notify me of shortages by email as the company has my email address and this could have saved myself and my wife being disappointed. Happy with the meal restrictions BUT went out for SUNDAY LUNCH and were disappointed only stayed to eat as I had a rewards voucher for a bottle of wine. Will return BUT will phone first to ensure that the meal we will be available I realise the current delivery problems etc but that doesn't take away our disappointment. In these Current (I . T TIMES ) surely it is possible to notify customers of this sort of problem when they book a table. This is not a complaint about Quality of food or the normally excellent table service at the Haywain Basildon.
