We purchased a zip and link super king bed which after a year was collapsing, Bensons agreed to take it back and sell us a different zip and link for an additional £1200 on top of the £1000 we had already spent. Nine months later this second bed also had a problem. They said they could refund us and would collect the bed. It took them 3.5 weeks to collect durning which time we continued to pay the finance company. Two weeks after the bed was collected I called Bensons to follow up on their progress only to find that they had not sent notification through to the finance company to settle the refund. The lady said she was doing it while I was on the phone with her. One week later I called the finance company who advised me that they had not received anything from Bensons to advise of the cancellation.
Five calls to Bensons at almost and hour wait to get through as they have 64 callers in the queue,(that tells you something in itself ) constant assurances that all is in hand. Had the phone put down on me twice. Really??? So all in all we are making payments to the finance company for a bed we have not had in our possession for over 9 weeks. Durning which time we have had to purchase another bed elsewhere which is fantastic and a fraction of the price. if you are looking to retain your sanity stay away from Bensons. Still waiting for our refund.
