I am writing this review with great disappointment and frustration. The Mars Lander lottery miner has turned out to be a cheaply made product that failed to meet my expectations in every aspect. Not only was the product itself subpar, but the customer service provided by the company was equally unimpressive. My journey began on March 11th, 2024, when I decided to purchase the Mars Lander. I was attracted to its design and functionality. However, after placing my order, I heard nothing from the company. No email, no notification, complete silence. It wasn't until March 28th, 2024, when I reached out to them for an update, that I received a response. They informed me that there was a backorder and that they would keep me updated. Fast forward to April 21st, 2024, I followed up again as I still hadn't received any information. They told me that there was still a backlog of orders. Then, in June, I received an email offering me an upgrade to an A1 package, which would supposedly reduce shipping time. The catch? The price was the same as if I had just bought the A1 package outright. In June, I finally received the unit. I plugged it in, only to find that it did not function. After two days of troubleshooting, I was offered the option to purchase a new SD card with the correct firmware loaded. I was appalled. Why should I have to pay for a new SD card when the product I received was defective? I complained about this, and a new unit was dispatched. However, by that time, the support team had sent me the correct firmware, and I managed to get it hashing. But within two weeks, the unit started acting up. The hashrate would slowly decrease to about 290 (instead of 400) and then crash. A hard reboot would fix this issue temporarily. I reached out to support again and was told that I would need to ship the unit back at my own expense to get a replacement. Shipping from New Zealand is very costly, so I decided to reboot the device once a week as a temporary solution. Two weeks later, the fan failed entirely. Initially, their support team asked me not to give a one-star review until we had troubleshooted the device, which I did with a lot of patience and dealt with the delays. However, I cannot give this company or their product a good review. It is clear that their "TESTING" was not thorough, and I don't know how they could test the unit when it had the wrong firmware installed. I am a technical person, so all the normal requests to ensure my firewall wasn't preventing it from hashing were not good enough for me. If I could give this company/product less than one star, I would.
