An item I was sent was in such a poor state that it should not be for sale. I ordered a wooden windmill for the garden, it was poor quality (like pallet wood but worse) it arrived faulty, broken, poorly assembled, splintered wood, green mould, dirty stains etc. The item was complicatedly packaged into a ‘just big enough’ box, so by the time I had unpacked it all for inspection there was no way it was all fitting back in the box. I was unable to return the item, and contacted customer services with extensive pictures of the product to be told that as I was choosing to keep the item they would offer me 10% off for the fault. It’s so bad it’s almost laughable. I kept telling them I couldn’t return the item but several generic responses later, I am resigned to the fact I have lost my money. Customer services are useless and don’t actually read & understand what the problem is, they just respond with whatever cut & paste reply seems to fit the bill (but it never does) The item was £39, and ended up in the dustbin.
