Disgusting auction room,dont deal with them.Purchased item,when received the item it was not as described,spoke to the owner who told me to look a terms and conditions.Was not interested in dealing with me in returning the item and getting a refund. An auction house cannot completely circumvent the Sale of Goods Act by stating they are not responsible for faults in descriptions. While auction houses may have certain disclaimers or limitations of liability, they cannot entirely escape the obligations imposed by the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Specifically, they cannot use contract terms to limit their liability for supplying faulty or misdescribed goods to consumers,especially if it is fraudulent.I have reported them to Trading Standards in Brighton,and i intend to push this matter as far as i can to prevent other purchasers from being conned by this spiv.
