Consolidated Shipping Can Get Brutal For starters, the negatives. The shipping fee can get ridiculous. Don't buy big heavy items here, or even items that are just big (never underestimate extra weight from seller packing). I bought a wool briefcase, and it came out at 1KG which was an instant 2100 yen in shipping. I thought..."hey let's add a cheap t shirt to test their consolidated shipping charges ". 220g...another 1400 yen to ship separately from the bag (it's EMS rate). Now, I naively thought that by paying an extra 500 yen for the consolidation fee that I'd probably just pay an extra 600 yen since how much extra packing weight could they manage to put on 1080g + 220g, right? WRONG. Some quick math to see how they just erased any savings and made me pay more. Ship separately: 2100 yen (1080g) + 1400 yen (220g) = 3500 yen Consolidated rate: 3300 yen (1760g) + 500 yen (consolidation fee) = 3800 yen
