i went to Canadian tire in Langford BC about a week or so ago, my intent was to purchase a 1/4 inch socket. sounds fairly normal. but all of the sockets were locked behind glass. along with many, many other items. when i got an employee to unlock the glass, she would not let me take the socket, she had to escort the 3$ socket to the checkout. i asked what if i wanted to purchase several other items. maybe some of those other items might be behind glass as well. she had no adequate response. i then asked if it was a good idea to treat all of their customers like common criminals. and again she had no adequate response. so what happens if you want to purchase multiple items. do every customer require a personal escort to follow you thru the store, carrying your items because they assume you are a criminal going to thieve everything in the store? I was embarrassed, for myself, but especially for the employee who had no answers to this ridiculous policy by Canadian tire. I really think Canadian tire has to review this policy, treating your customers as if they are going to rob the place is not any kind of an answer. it is just ridiculous. Canadian Tire, DO BETTER...
