Today I took my car to the Canadian Tire near me for a wheel alignment. Given their first-come, first-served policy, I made sure to arrive at the store by 8 AM to be the first customer. I spoke with the parts and maintenance manager, who assured me that the service would take a couple of hours and that I would be called once it was completed.
However, by 1 PM, I still had not received a call. Concerned, I reached out to them, only to be informed by another staff member that my car was not yet finished and that there was still another car ahead of mine. This was confusing and frustrating, considering I was the first customer that morning.
After waiting another hour, I called again. This time, the manager answered and, upon my inquiry, mentioned that they were still working on my car. He seemed quite testy and unaware of which car was mine. When I described my car and the maintenance requested, he suddenly realized that my car had been ready for quite some time, claiming they had called me three times. I had not received any calls or messages.
When I arrived to pick up my car, I paid for the service and asked to speak with the technician who worked on my car to ask some questions. The manager and his assistant were extremely rude and refused, stating the technician had already left. Their dismissive attitude and lack of communication were unprofessional and unacceptable.
This experience not only wasted an entire workday but also left me very dissatisfied with their service. Despite being told the job would take two hours, it took far longer, with poor communication and rude customer service throughout. I will not be returning to this store for any future car maintenance needs.
