Fantastic antenna,i made a mount to attach to the rear taillight area,it only needed to be extended from the tip a 1/4 of an inch and it was dialed in,was able to reach at least 4 miles so far, only one person gave me a radio check,the others would ignore me,and say who is on our channel and then not respond to me,but that's kind of expected, unfortunately,but overall fantastic product and we'll pleased,I'm trying to talk my wife into getting one,but we will have to see
