Subject: Poor Customer Service Experience and Unjustified Fee
Dear Customer Service,
I recently purchased a flight to JFK, and due to the autofill function on my mobile device, my second last name was included in the booking. When I called customer service to correct this, I was assisted by a representative who demonstrated a lack of professionalism and customer-oriented service.
The agent attempted to charge me $56, claiming that the airline would otherwise charge me $200. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, he insisted that the supervisor would provide the same response. After a long wait, the call was disconnected. The agent later called me back and miraculously resolved the issue but still charged me $6.50 for the correction.
This experience was extremely frustrating, and I spent nearly an hour resolving a minor issue that should have been handled efficiently and professionally. I would appreciate a review of this matter and clarification on why I was charged for a simple name correction.
