I had a deeply frustrating experience with Check n Fly, involving deceptive sales tactics, relentless pressure, and ultimately a failure to honor their promises. Aggressive Pressure to Confirm Booking: After I initially paid for a ticket, their salesman, Josh, repeatedly hounded me over WhatsApp and calls to push me into upgrading to a more expensive ticket. Despite my having already paid, they claimed my original reservation “didn’t go through” and refused to provide a refund, forcing me to pay for this new, costlier ticket. False Assurances of Flexibility: Josh assured me that this new, expensive ticket would allow me to change dates freely. He even suggested I save our WhatsApp conversation as proof of this so-called flexibility. Trusting this explicit assurance, I accepted the ticket. But when I actually needed to make a date change, Check n Fly demanded an enormous fee, completely contradicting their earlier promises. Poor Communication and Limited Options: When I requested a range of available dates, they responded only with single dates and delayed responses. I had to follow up multiple times, yet they continued to ignore my specific requests for different options. This dismissive approach made it clear they were not interested in providing service but rather maximizing their profit at my expense. Exorbitant, Unjustified Fees: Despite the initial promise of flexibility, Check n Fly imposed a “fare difference” fee, a “change fee,” and a “service fee” for changing the ticket. These fees totaled far more than I was led to expect, clearly exploiting my need to adjust travel plans. Complete Lack of Accountability: After reaching out repeatedly for fair options, they refused to address the promises that Josh made during the sale. They left me anxious, financially strained, and frustrated, all while avoiding any responsibility for their misleading practices. In Summary: Check n Fly is aggressive in pressuring customers into costly purchases and does not stand behind their commitments. They over-promise, under-deliver, and leave customers with inflated charges and broken assurances. I am escalating this matter through Trading Standards and ABTA, and I would strongly advise anyone considering Check n Fly to think twice. This experience has been one of relentless anxiety and blatant disregard for customer well-being.
