I bought and got delivered the second generation chilly bottle. It is a 0.5 liter metal bottle and behaves like the first generation. The main differences are that there is just one size available at the moment ,and instead of just the cap, there is a collar between the lid and the bottle and there is a loop attached to the lid to grab the bottle and carry it around. Compared to the old version, I have to say that the feel of the bottle is much better, the outside metal is very grippy and underneath the bottle there is a part of gum that makes it stay still on a surface. There are a few downsides though, the collar is exposed to the air, this means that to open the lid you will have to touch it and that when you carry it around it is in contact with different surfaces, and it is not hygienic. The second downside is that once inserted the loop, it is not possible to remove it, bad design, this means that either you have to buy a new lid and loop if it breaks or keep it broken. Another negative side is that where the loop is inserted, water can go in, so when you wash the bottle and the lid, the water goes inside that spot and you have to shake the whole thing very hard to remove the water. I think they should have made it better than it is, but still it has been improved, compared to the first generation. The main issue I had with the first generation bottle was that it started to smell badly after a short time of use and, with the new one, the collar solves the problem, as your lips will not touch the metal but only the gummy-collar part.
