Having placed two orders way back in October 2023 I have now canceled them. Initially I received updates saying items were due by the dates first given, then the dates began changing making the wait time longer. As I had set my heart on the items of furniture that I'd chosen, I decided I would wait. The the dates given would pass with no contact, forcing me to contact them. I have been given so many excuses including:- 1. The shipment has been delayed. 2. The ship couldn't use the Suez Canal, so will take longer by going via the Cape of Good Hope. 3. CITES recent law change meaning they needed a licence to import the goods. 4. The container had docked but due to lack of licence customs had confiscated the container and would not release it to them., even if they were to get a. retrospective licence. I have done my homework and discovered it takes approximately a month for the ship to make it's journey so even being generous nearly 7 months is over the top. CITES has been around a long time and the wood my order was made from was in the original act and the only amendments I could find for this year was to do with items in personal luggage not requiring a CITES permit. After all this to then be told one of the items was no longer available I could choice another item which was more expensive but they would cover the difference. However, said item was not suitable size wise and would not match the other item I'd ordered. A couple of months prior to this they offered me 10% for my lengthy wait and inconvenience caused when I cancelled my order the refund was 10% light, bearing in mind they've had my money since October 2023 and the delays and inconvenience was caused by them I feel that the 10% should come from their pocket and not mine but they are prepared to give me a voucher for value of 10% to spend on their site!!!! The refund they gave didn't reach my account within the time they stated it would namely 3 to 5 working days, when contacted about this they blamed the banking system they used, SagePay, citing that they were having problems with their software and could I wait till the end of the following week, another 8 days. I checked with SagePay and their services were up and running. I placed a complaint with them and low and behold my money appeared in my bank the following morning. So my advice would be avoid this company at all costs. I feel as though I have been lied to at every turn with the excuses they give always being someone else's fault. CFS it time to grow a pair and be honest with people. I had to give one star but they don't in all honesty deserve that.
