The parts failed within 6 months. We paid nearly £500 and the RAC have reported it is the Starter Motor. We thought we could exercise our parts warrant, but unfortunately ClickMechanic take no responsibility, the warranty they claim you have of 12 months on parts and labour is completely false. Your only recourse is to pursue the self employed mechanic, who may be sick, left his job, not interested, or even left the country as he did in our case. Therefore, we are now £500 poorer with a broken down car. If they had made clear this is how the warranty worked we never would have used them. I look at it akin to buying a car from a dealer and having a problem whilst it's under warranty. You would of course go back to the dealer, not the salesman who sold the car. This is big money and a company that is misleading the customer. We are pursuing via trading standards and charge back as it is clearly mis-selling and exploitation. I would advise anyone to run a mile and book with a trusted trader where your warranty means something.
