We bought a Yardistry pavilion online from Costco. No membership. Got it and once we started installing it the cracks started to show up. Called Yardistry and all they could do was send new parts. That means that I had to disassemble the structure possibly seriously hurting ourselves in the process or pay for this. Just to give you an idea we were quoted $1000 just to help us put up the 4 piece roof which we already put together just needed help putting it up. The cracks were too wide and didn't seem safe for us to sit under the structure so we called in to return it. First call was 1hour wait and we were told to disassemble it and we had a scheduled pickup. On the day of pickup they didn’t show up so we called again, this time it was a 2hour wait on one cellphone and a 1:45hr on the other. Their excuse was that they didn’t come to pick it up because we told them we were not going to be able to break it all apart in pieces therefore they didn’t come. Now a new scheduled pickup was for today 7/16/2021. When they showed they told us that the pieces were too many for them to transport and that we needed the boxes. We were never told in any of the calls we needed the boxes just to break it up and tape them together. We told them those were the instructions from Costco. My wife talked to a Jerome (their supervisor/Costco Logistics) and the asshole told my wife to “drink a mimosa and calm down”. Their excuse is that this was an online purchase and can’t pick it up. WTF?! Have you not seen the “Costco Return or Replace your Costco.com Online Order” webpage dumbass?! This is how Costco treats their customers, this is how they treat retired veterans. My wife has been trying to get me to get a membership for the last 25 years and this is what our first experience has been. Save yourself the trouble and disrespect from this third rate company that seems like one hand is not talking to the other. And if you’re a retiree go to the BX/PX/NX. STAY AWAY!!!
