Awful customer service. We gave them £400 in exchange for a dishwasher that they, Curry’s were selling. Dishwasher was faulty. Their call system is set up to not have to talk to you. Following their call system, we somehow ended up talking to the dishwasher manufacturer. They had no idea how that happened. Blatant avoidance on Curry’s part. We don’t understand why the consumer has to do the leg-work. The relationship between Curry’s and the dishwasher manufacturer is nothing to do with us. After two visits by an engineer, the dishwasher was still not working. We contacted Curry’s again (by EVERY means we could find, because they seem to want to hide!) and they said there is nothing to do without an uplift number from the manufacturer. We spoke with the manufacturer and they had no idea what we were talking about. UPLIFT NUMBERS ARE A FOB OFF BY CURRYS!!! We were getting nowhere (with the frustration exacerbated by the call system, and this would now affect us personally at the time), by which time another engineer visit happened. The engineer broke a part. This then needed another visit (btw, engineer visits are at least two weeks apart!). The engineer called for the final visit, and left saying that they had done everything. We asked the engineer about an uplift number “just in case” and they said they said he had no idea what it was and they had never seen an uplift number, although they were asked all the time; he initiated it was a fob-off too. By this time, we had worked out a lot of the work arounds on the phone system to be able to get to speak to someone (which includes making guttural noises when asked who the manufacturer is because if you don’t, you just end up getting put through to the manufacturer) Spoke to “customer service” and she was not pleasant. Understandably, her pleasantness disappeared after she asked for an uplift number. Dishwasher is 6 months old. Never worked. 5 engineer visits (1 cancelled). 7 frustrating calls to Curry’s and, through no fault of their own, three calls to the manufacturer. We bought the machine from Curry’s. We deal with Curry’s . They sold inadequate goods. They need to replace. The relationship between Cuuprrys and the manufacturer is absolutely of no concern to ourselves. Currys have no respect for their consumers. Edit: just realised they make you jump through hoops to leave a review!!! The6 must know what is coming!
