I attempted to order a PC peripheral totalling £60.99 a week ago but at the checkout my card was declined and I could see from the company's personal profile that no item had been ordered by me from them. Days later I notice £60.99 missing from my current account but no ID of where it went. After phoning my bank I was told that Currys had debited my account - so the order had gone through.
After phoning their customer support team (which is so frustrating to get through I won't start a rant) I was told their system was taking orders but not dispatching them or generating an order report - so basically I'm left without the product and £60 down whilst they get their act together.
Another example of why high street retailers are going out of business. They have opened a "second level" complaint, hopefully resulting in the product and a refund after this shocking level of service.
