The following is an email I wrote to the CEO of Curry, describing my experience when visiting the Coventry Store at Alvis Retail Park, and at this time, I have sent 2 more emails, both of which have not even been acknowledged. Therefore, I shall NEVER use this company again. Customer Service? Customer Contempt more like!!! As for the stars, I would give this company minus one, as I saw nothing to merit even one mark of merit.

Dear Mr James
I am writing to you because of my experience on Friday 31st of August, in the Currys/PCWorld store at Alvis Retail Park, Holyhead Road, Coventry CV5 8BW
I was greeted by a very polite gentleman, who offered me a seat, then showed me to the lift, as I was hoping to buy a phone, all of which were on the upstairs level.
I had previously attempted to buy the phone through the website, but had trouble completing the order and thought that it had not been completed. I therefore drove to the store planning to buy the phone I liked.
Once upstairs, I was totally ignored by 3 young men who were talking by the television displays and after a few minutes, one of them looked at me briefly and muttered 'be with you in a minute'. I had sat down on a chair which none of the young men had offered and they continued to ignore me while discussing televisions with another customer, I think, as nobody had bothered to acknowledge me or ask/tell me anything.
After several minutes of being ignored, and they could all see that I am elderly and walk with the aid of a stick, I made my way back to the lift, not a short journey for someone in my condition, and when I got downstairs, I saw a young man at a counter and approached him to ask if there was a manager in the store. I have to be honest here and just say that I was already upset and annoyed by the men upstairs, but I did not raise my voice or become aggressive with the downstairs staff.
His first response was to look at me as though I was something nasty that had found its way into his space, then he just looked bewildered, so I said 'Shall I take that as a 'no' then?' to which he said 'what?' in a very aggressive tone. I asked again whether I should take his lack of response to mean there wasn't a manager, to which he very aggressively answered "yes!" I'm looking for him". The manager arrived then, and was just as cold and ignorant as the other staff had been. He asked what I wanted, I told him, a phone, but that I had been ignored upstairs, and while I can't remember his exact words, I think he asked again what I wanted, and I said that an apology would be good. This wasn't forthcoming and I told him that the customer service was appalling and that he clearly had no idea of how to treat a customer, so I would go to Carphone Warehouse, to which he answered "ok"..
I struggled to the door using my stick, as I was in pain, but nobody came near or offered to help me in any way.
I'm sorry this has been such a long email, but I was so upset that day that I was crying when I got home, as I'm not used to being spoken to as though I have no business to be in that store, and I certainly was horrified by the ignorance and unpleasantness of the staff I encountered.
I was so upset that , on hearing about all this, my sister immediately went to Argos and bought the phone I wanted.
A few days later, I had an email to say that the phone I had originally tried to order online, was on its way to me, so I am now returning that in its original packaging and unopened and unused.
I hope you take this seriously, and forgive the amount of detail, but I will not go into a Curry's store again unless some intensive customer service training takes place.
Regards
