I will start by saying that I have used Currys successfully many times in the past, but my recent experience has been bad. Our new fridge-freezer was not delivered on the day it should have been; there was no phone call and by the time I realised it was not coming the phone line had closed. I rang next morning and the lady apologised for the lack of phone call, but not for the lack of delivery - the drivers had just run out of hours. She said she could rebook for the following day, in the morning, which I considered acceptable. Luckily I checked online and the delivery had not been booked that day, but for the following one, which I couldn't manage. We cancelled the order at that point and got one the next day through an online firm.
We also have a separate issue with Curry's over a 5-year warranty for a washing machine which we thought we had, but which was never implemented. Another story, and hoping for a positive response. Will make sure to post a good report if I'm satisfied!
To be fair, I've had good conversations with some of the KnowHow team, though some are very off-hand.
