This is my ninth letter to Curry's, ( see below). They are quick to take your money but completely out of integrity when following through with repairs or warranty agreements. I have just waited over an hour and fifteen minutes trying to get through to the complaints department - I don't believe they have anyone working there. I was passed around from two departments, then left with a phone ringing. Don't waste your time or money- they are completely useless. Dear Complaints team at Curry's/ Team know how. Your customer service and ability to provide an adequate repair service is abysmal. My fridge freezer broke down in the middle of lock down. I lost a huge amount of frozen food, and since this happened on April 6th I have not been able to use my Beko fridge freezer at all. My warranty which I took out in 2008, which I have paid for the last 12 years, is supposed to ensure a very quick response to a broken fridge, i.e. within three days. It has now been over sixteen weeks, without my freezer and yet you still took the money out of my account for the warranty in May 2020. I am severely asthmatic and have been shielding. I had all my food delivered to the house as I was unable to shop. Your lack of response caused me more stress. I had food leaking all over the floor. I had to live off tinned food thanks to you! I took this morning off work to wait in for the repair team to arrive to repair/ take away my fridge, but at 10.45 am after waiting for two hours, I had a call to say the repair operative had phoned in sick and that no one would be coming today. How is it possible you can cancel on the day, or only have one repair team working? I have no choice now but to take my complaint to Trading Standards and publish my experience on social media. I will not let this go unheard. Poor service I first called you and wrote to you about the faulty fridge I have on the 6th April 2020. I spent 17 minutes and 20 minutes on the phone speaking to two operatives who disconnected the call. Since then I have sent eight emails of complaint and visited to store in person to get a response, but everything has failed. Dates of the eight emails you received and ignored, without anything other than a standard,' we will get back to you letter', which you never have. 6/4/2020 28/4/2020 29/4/2020 x 2 emails 11/08/ 2020 11/08/2020 12/08/2020 20/8/2020 Add to this numerous calls where I am put on hold for hours and passed from team to team, plus a store visit. How many days/ hours of my time have you wasted? I dread to think how much money I have lost on phone calls, replacing food and lost food. At this moment in time I have been on the phone for over an hour and twelve minutes on 0344561 1234. I have spoken to two Curry's employees and just been passed around various departments. They took my name and address, yet I am just passed around, and not even heard. Right now the phone is ringing and no one is answering it. How long am I supposed to let the phone ring after one hour and twelve minutes listening to your music? I have to give up, or I will be waiting the whole day. One hour and fifteen minutes is too long to wait for service! See evidence attached in a photo of my phone call, with the time showing over an hour! You have not honoured the warranty agreement that I have paid £478 in total for. You are out of integrity with this contract. You are taking money without service. This is illegal and corrupt. I look forward to your immediate response, although I hold very little faith. It would be good to have my faith in Curry's restored. Now waiting on the phone for over one hour and twenty minutes- where are your staff? I don't think they will answer my phone if I wait all day. Where is your integrity and customer care?
