Very disappointed with my experience. The order arrived 3 hours after the time specified, not a major deal but put together with everything else… The cake was absolutely ruined due to cutter & squidge putting the cake box into the delivery bag upside down - it was sat icing-side down, all day in the hot delivery van. At first we thought it was the courier who had put the bag upside down the whole day, but they handed it to us label side up, and it was the box inside that was upside down. Couldn’t serve the cake to the person in the end as it looked so bad and so in the end it was a waste of £30. I ended up scraping everything off and spending more money to redecorate it and giving it to them the following day. Then the recipient said the filling inside the cake and the cake batter was overly sweet. Not a great experience, very disappointed as I’d heard good things about this company. When I tried to call, I was in a queue for 25+ minutes (which is fine, they are busy), what I didn’t appreciate is that the call just automatically hung up and when I tried to call back, I was advised that the office was closed by a pre-recorded message. It would be worth maybe adding a message to the call queue that the shop will be closing soon - just not ideal customer service. Wanted to love as I had heard great things and it is so hard to find gluten free cakes! So just disappointed.
