Bought a sofa and paid for express delivery within 5 days - was given a delivery day and took the day off work. They sent an SMS after the start of the delivery time clot they gave me to say the truck had broken down and delivery would now be tomorrow. Had to take another day off work.
Asked for some compensation or at least a refund of the £19.99 deliver charge - but got a very rude no as they said they delivered within the 5 working days.
No consideration for me as a customer whatsoever - only care about the money, not their customers.
Here's what I got back when I complained:
"The breakdown of the delivery van was unforeseen and out of our control, furthermore we have delivered the item within the 5 working days of the express delivery that you paid.
Therefore in this instance we cannot take the refund request further."
Make sure you read all the one star reviews on here as others have had a much worse experience but its clear what sort of company this is!
