I purchased a dining table online. On the day of delivery, the prepacked item, large box and weighing around 30kgs was left at the entrance door of communal hallway in apartment block. I asked the delivery person for package to be delivered to my flat on the 2nd floor as I presumed it would be on purchase and this was refused.
Customer service say it is stated on their website that delivery of items will only be to front entrance/communal hallway of apartment block. No it does not state this anywhere in the 'check out' process and neither is this delivery policy mentioned in the 'shipping policy'. It was a headache to move the prepacked table from ground floor to my flat on 2nd floor. And I would definitly not have bought the table if I had known their delivery policy. There is a complete lack of transparency on delivery and shipping and are basically tricking their consumers by the omission of important information that we need to make informed choices.
I am going to return the table which I will now have to somehow drag to the front entrance of building and leave it there blocking the passageway and unattended. It's ridiculous for furniture deliveries and total lack of respect for consumers. Avoid at all cost.
