I bought an Alienware laptop X17 R2 about 18 months ago, I take really good care of my laptop and always keep it clean, cool, etc. A few days ago, it developed a fault, 2 red 4 blue flashes on the symbol, this translates to a RAM problem. I contacted DELL to discuss this issue and see what they could offer being the laptop is over £3000 however, they were unwilling to help me whatsoever and said tough I have to pay, after stating the consumer law 2015 about reasonable time for a product they still said this does not apply as their warranty is final. I use a MacBook pro which is 6 years old and if it broke I would say fair game, however, 18months for a leading competitor in technology (as the escalated customer service agent Pavan O B stated) Alienware they are unwilling and a scam, I promised to never buy a Dell laptop again, luckily enough I paid via a credit card and can use a section 75 to regain all my money, all I wanted dell to do was fix it as it is a common problem based on their own forums of owners. They misrepresented the sale entirely, I feel for anyone who pays via a debit card, my advice is do not buy from them and if you do use a credit card to be covered for your purchase. I am making sure to leave plenty of factual reviews on dell to let potential buyers know of the terrible products and customer service, this is not slander if it is the TRUTH!
