**I hope no one makes the mistake of purchasing a product from Dell ever again.**
--
I purchased a laptop from Dell three years ago. Before I made the purchase, I asked the Dell agent if the laptop would be suitable for my line of work. I wanted to double check before making such a big purchase. The Dell agent said yes, the laptop was suitable and could have upgrades in the future if needed. So I made the purchase and bought a Dell XPS 13 9360.
As I started taking on bigger projects, the laptop was not meeting expectations. So, I recently reached out to a Dell agent to see what could be upgraded. The Dell agent said I could upgrade my RAM to 16GB instead of the 8GB it currently has. They then proceeded to tell me that they had no RAM in stock and could not provide me with any information on where or how to purchase RAM elsewhere. They could not even provide me with recommendations or information on how to purchase RAM compatible with my laptop.
As I did some research to find out which RAM was compatible with my laptop and how to get it installed from a local retailer, I discovered that, in fact, my laptop cannot be upgraded as the "RAM is soldered to the main board."
This laptop is completely useless since I cannot use it for work and I probably should have went with my instincts and put the $1600 towards a Mac.
