Recently I tried to make a purchase with this app, after trying to put the purchase through four times, the app told me the item was sold but it wasn't showing in my purchase history. When I contacted the seller she told me the item was still available and she had no funds on her end, and it was showing as available on her profile, just not in anybody's shopping bag. I tried to contact the app about it, but they were unhelpful and basically just suggeste that I contact the seller, which I already did. She tried to make a new listing, but the same thing happened again, clearly it's a tech glitch with depop. I tried to tell customer service this, but they refused to listen.
So we settled on paying for the item via paypal, I got a very nasty email from depop telling me that that's against their rules, I replied and let them know that we tried to go through there at multiple times but it wasn't working, and that we reached out to customer service and customer service was unhelpful in fixing the issue. They replied that they could see my account history and they could see off depop transactions. I replied and let them know that no, there was a single transaction, not multiple and then I'd never paid anyone from depop on PayPal before, and that their app was glitching and they refuse to fix it so if they wanted to keep their customers they really should fix the glitches or they're going to have to settle for people making deals off of the app because they're not keeping up their end of their service. I also pointed out to them that if they could see my account action history, they should be able to tell just how many times I tried to check out and our entire chat history about how the app was not working and that we tried to contact them.
This entire time I've been emailing back and forth with a customer service representative, however after telling them all of this information, all I got back was this message:
"Thanks for getting back to us,
This email thread isn't monitored, please do not reply to this message. If you believe our decision was in error or if you have any further questions feel free to get in touch by clicking the link below"
So basically, they were fine personally emailing me when they felt they weren't getting their money, but the second I pointed out the fact that they were also not keeping up their end of the app agreement, and they had proof that they were calling me a liar, they immediately switched over to acting like their service was completely automated and they had no customer service Representatives.
I immediately removed all my listings following this incident, and I won't be using the app again. This is just one of many glitches I've had to deal with over the past month, and some of the glitches keep me as a seller from getting my money for months at a time. And as a buyer there are many people who are dishonest about the items they're selling and the app will take no action against them.
Avoid.
