The poncho towels are a good size for changing under after open water swimming, they are thin and fold up really small to allow space in my kit bag for multiple swims in one day. The drawstring pouches also double up as wet bags to keep my wet kit and dry kit separate in my backpack. The fabric really draws the moisture away from your skin very quickly, helping you to get dried and changed quickly to enable you to warm up again.
The problem with these towels is the stitching on the seams from the underarms to the bottom edge of the poncho - it is really not well done at all. This stitching has started to come apart on all three of my towels during first day of use. It really needs to be reinforced/much stronger. The towels are very expensive, and for the price I would have expected them to be of very high quality and last a really long time.
I am going to have my poncho towels professionally repaired by a sewist because I was impressed with how quickly they drew the moisture away from my skin and how many I can fit in my kit bag, but I was very disappointed in the quality of the stitching, especially with how expensive the poncho towels are.
