I sent an expensive item next day delivery, leaving it at Sainsburys on Sunday to be collected Monday . It didn't arrive... My customer was upset and I was frantic. I then started a torturous dialogue with customer services trying to find my parcel. I was frantic but just told they were making enquiries..Next morning I was asked for details I had already supplied. I decided to go back to Sainsburys..(a 20 mile round trip) This was Wednesday.. It was there (thank goodness) and customer services said there were lots of parcels as dpd hadn't picked any up since the Saturday. I took my parcel back as I couldn't trust dpd any more and will use another courier...
No apology or explanation.. I asked for and got a refund of the postage and insurance but nothing by way of apology.. I'm gobsmacked about the complete disregard of my complaint and that there has been no acknowledgement of the stress I and my customer experienced..
