DPD driver Lewis stole my Chain Saw!
A collection was arranged by Trade Counter Direct to pick up a faulty Stanley Chain Saw from my house, TCD would arrange for the return label as they had done the previous week when the first faulty Chain Saw was picked up with no issues by driver Lee on 25th Feb.
On 7th March driver Lewis duly turned up at the allocated time resplendent in DPD uniform and nice new DPD van, I asked him if he had the return label from TCD and he said no but he would return the parcel to the local depot and it would get sorted out (stolen)!
With hindsight I should have asked for some receipt but I thought that this being a well-known, professional courier company, not known for stealing goods, it would be safe with them.
A few days later I got a text from DPD saying the parcel would be collected the next day? Next day driver Kevin turned up and I explained to him that the parcel had already been picked up, this did not surprise him unduly.
I contacted DPD who carried out a thorough investigation! (probably checked on EBay to see the 2nd hand prices for Stanley chainsaws) and concluded that the parcel was never collected on the 7th March.
Somebody is lying, me or DPD? I’m £120 down and DPD! Well, their reputation just gets better and better especially for their new department “Stolen Goods R Us”.
